The second Saudi Entertainment and Amusement Expo begins today at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center.
Successfully launched in 2019, the show is the first trade event in the kingdom dedicated to its entertainment and leisure sector and, like the nascent Saudi industry itself, is enjoying significant growth with 75 per cent overall and the number of exhibitors increasing by 30 per cent over its debut iteration.
“From a start of practically zero, there are things like cinemas booming across the country, concerts, sporting events and other entertainment complexes, so the focus is there on getting the big banner attractions,” said Nathan Waugh, hospitality division portfolio director of show organiser dmg events. “Relaxing social rules and encouraging entertainment and leisure activities is helping hugely, moving the country towards modernisation. All this puts us in a great position to bring international businesses that are looking at Saudi Arabia into the market.”
The show begins today at 4pm and runs until 10pm. Exhibitors include Intercard, Ropes Courses Inc, Polin, Warehouse of Games, Amusement Services International, Embed, Vivaticket and Vortex.
